While it's too early to confirm, Environment Canada is looking into the possibility of a tornado touching down in the Lucan area.
Environment Canada officials say they have been gathering reports and photo evidence of a funnel cloud that appeared near Lucan Wednesday, sometime between 6:30pm and 7pm. The weather agency says a funnel cloud was also reported in Drumbo.
As of 11pm Wednesday evening, there had been no reports of damage.
While a tornado warning was not issued, the weather agency sent out multiple severe thunderstorm alerts throughout the day on Wednesday.
Environment Canada officials say if damage is reported, a team of investigators may attend the scene to determine if a tornado did in fact touch down.
There have been two confirmed tornadoes in Ontario since the beginning of 2017.
