Pedestrian Hurt In Hit And Run

St. Thomas police are searching for a vehicle they say took off after hitting a woman walking in the south end of the city.

The woman was using the crosswalk on Chestnut St. between High St. and Park. Ave. around 3:10pm on Wednesday when she was hit by an eastbound vehicle. The unidentified woman suffered minor injuries.

Police say the vehicle did not stop after striking the pedestrian.

The vehicle is described as a small four-door white car, driven by a Caucasian man with grey hair and a beard.
