Police in Middlesex and Norfolk counties are investigating two separate motorcycle crashes that occurred within hours of each other.
The Ontario Provincial Police say on Thursday around 4:28pm, a motorcycle travelling west on Egremont Dr. in Middlesex Centre, collided with a Terragator that was heading south on Coldstream Rd. The intersection is governed by stop signs.
Two people who were riding the motorcycle were rushed to hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries. It is unknown if the driver of the truck was injured.
A few hours later at around 6:30pm, the OPP responded to Norfolk County Rd. 45 north east of Port Rowan, after another motorcycle rider collided with a vehicle at Norfolk County Rd. 28.
The driver of the motorcycle, a 63-year-old Norfolk County man, was ejected and had to be airlifted to a London area hospital for treatment of serious life threatening injuries.
The driver of the other vehicle, an 18-year-old Oxford County man, was not injured.
Police say charges are pending.
