Search Party Organized For Missing Woman

The family of a missing Woodstock woman last seen in London is hoping others will join the search for her.

Yuderquis Perez-Gomez, 38, was last seen leaving the Super 8 motel at 1170 Wellington Rd. around 10am on Friday, May 12.

Her family is asking for help in a search they have organized for this Friday.

"We'd like as many friends, family, acquaintances, strangers... anyone who is willing to help. The more people, the better," said organizer Susan Tryhub, daughter of Perez-Gomez.

Searchers will meet on Friday morning at 10am at the Super 8 where Perez-Gomez was last seen. Tryhub says they will fan out to search the area, armed with information about Perez-Gomez.

"We'll be searching more in south London because that's where she disappeared from. But we'll also be working down toward the east end and toward downtown," she says. "We have lots of flyers and posters that we'll be hanging up along the way."

Perez-Gomez was wearing a black and white striped dress with pink pants and pink flip flops when she was last seen. She is 5'0" tall with a slim build, blonde hair, brown eyes, and has two tattoos on her right arm and one on her left. She speaks with a Spanish accent.

Her family says it's not like her to be gone this long without any communication. It's believed Perez-Gomez may be experiencing mental health issues.

"She had an unfortunate accident when she was travelled to Cuba and fell off a three storey building. So, she suffered some brain injuries when that happened. So now, she's lost and could be suffering from confusion and multiple things," Tryhub said.

Tryhub says, at this point, police have no leads so she is hopeful the community will help find the missing mother of two.
