Lightning Top Storm 123-117

The London Lightning beat the Island Storm 123-117 on Tuesday to set an NBL Canada record with their 34th regular season win.

The two teams were back-and-forth in the first quarter, but London was able to take a 34-22 lead going into the second. The Lightning remained ahead in the second frame and held a seven point lead at halftime.

PEI made it close in the third, but London fought back to keep a 91-83 advantage heading into the fourth. The Storm continued to battle in the final frame, making it a four point game with 19 seconds left on the clock. However, the Lightning held on to win with a six point advantage.

Royce White led London with 35 points and ten rebounds, while Kyle Johnson had 15 points and three rebounds. Marvin Phillips also put up 14 points and four rebounds.

The Lightning will face the Orangeville A's in their final regular season game on Sunday. Tip off is at 2pm in London.
