Lightning Strike Titans in OT 95-90

Doug Herring, Jr. had 15 points Sunday in the London Lightning's 95-90 overtime win over the Titans in Kitchener.

Herring led the Lightning in points for the second straight game, and also went 10-for-12 from the free throw line.  He also led the team in rebounds with ten for a double-double.

The Lightning improve to 23-4 on the season and maintain first place in the NBLC Central Division.

The game was tight throughout, with the Lightning up at halftime 41-38.  London pulled away in the third quarter but held off a strong effort by Kitchener-Waterloo in the fourth quarter to take the game to overtime.  London outshot the Titans 12-7 in the extra period.

Royce White, Julian Boyd and Marvin Phillips each scored 14 points for the Lightning.  Adam Blazek and Flenard Whitfield led the offence for the Titans with 21 points apiece, with Whitfield rebounding the ball 16 times.

The Lightning return home Monday night to host the Orangeville A's.
