Police Investigate Stabbing Near Saunders Secondary School

London police are looking for a suspect after a stabbing near Saunders Secondary School.

Police were called to the area near the school on Viscount Rd. and Wonderland Rd. just after noon on Thursday, following an altercation between two people that ended with one being stabbed.

One person, believe to be a student at the school, suffered minor injuries.

"A 17-year-old male has been identified as a suspect but we can not release his information due to his age," said Constable Chris Stumpf.

Police are continuing to search for the teen but reassure that there is no threat to public safety.

The incident was not a random act as police confirm the victim and suspect knew each other.

As a precaution, the school was put into “code yellow” or “hold and secure” mode while police investigated.

The investigation is ongoing.
