Ilderton Man Wins $1-Million

Larry Kemp in the London area's newest millionaire.

The Ilderton man won $1-million in the Instant 100X multiplier.

“I bought the last two instant 100X multiplier tickets at the store,” Kemp said at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto where he picked up his winnings. “I scratched my ticket at the store and immediately thought it was a big winner. I wasn’t wearing my glasses that day so I wasn’t sure.”

The OLG said Kemp used the ticket checker to make sure he had won.

“That’s when I knew for certain that it was a ‘Big Winner!’ The retailer was very excited and kept repeating, ‘You won, you won!’ Next, OLG called the store and it all began to sink it. I started shaking so much that the retailer had to help me write a few things down,” he said. “Winning the lottery has lifted a load right off my shoulders. Now I can help my sons and their families feel that same sense of financial freedom. One of my sons has a big mortgage, another son recently got married, and my third son just bought a sports car. This win will help them all.”

The winning ticket was purchased at Petro Canada on Highbury Rd. in Arva.
