Premier To Visit London Tuesday

Ontario's premier will continue her week long college and university tour in London Tuesday morning.

Kathleen Wynne will visit the Fanshawe College Aviation Centre at 10am to speak to students about tuition costs and the post-graduation job market.

"Hearing what people across the province have to say — especially young people — is one of the best and most important parts of my job. I am looking forward to meeting with students, faculty and staff to discuss the issues that concern them most, including our transformational plan to remove financial barriers to accessing higher education," Wynne said in a news release announcing the tour.

In addition to talking with students, Wynne will be pushing the province's Student Assistance Program which offers free tuition for students from families with household incomes of $50,000 or less. The government estimates the program, which begins in September, will benefit over 210,000 students.

The premier will not be paying a visit to Western University on this trip to the city, instead she will move on to Conestoga College in Kitchener, then Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo in the afternoon.

Wynne kicked off the tour of the province's post secondary institutions on Monday with a stop at the OCAD University in Toronto.
