Police Arrest Bank Robbery Suspects

London police have arrested six people after two banks were robbed in the city Wednesday night.

Police say two armed suspects walked into the TD bank on Wonderland Rd. North shortly after 7pm Wednesday, demanded money, and fled the area in a vehicle after they received an undisclosed amount of cash.

The second robbery also took place at a TD bank -- this time on Ernest Ave., about 30 minutes after the first robbery.

Police say two armed men, who appeared to be the same two suspects who robbed the first bank, entered the building on Ernest Ave., demanded money, and fled the area in a vehicle when they got some.

Officers say they were able to track down the vehicle at approximately 8:20pm and, with the help of the canine unit, police were able to arrest two adult males who were in the area.

During their investigation, police also arrested four other people -- three men and one woman -- at a residence on Emerson Ave. in London. Officers seized two vehicles as well.

There were no injuries reported as a result of the robberies and police say the investigation is ongoing.
