Charges Laid In City's First Homicide Of 2017

Seven people have been arrested and one is still on the run in connection with London's first homicide of 2017.

London police announced Thursday that arrests had been made and charges laid in the complex case that saw 24-year-old Matthew Perry of London fall from the window of a five-storey apartment building at 446 King St. Police say the case also involves kidnapping, forcible confinement, and the assault of a second person.

Perry was found in medical distress outside of the downtown building around 5:10pm last Friday. He was rushed to hospital where he later died from his injuries. An autopsy showed Perry died from injuries sustained in a fall.

During the course of the investigation police discovered a second person was kidnapped, forcibly confined, and assaulted. That individual was not seriously hurt.

Clayton More, 34, 35-year-old Tabitha Williams, 28-year-old Amanda Onstad, 28-year-old Justin Christensen, and 35-year-old Bradley Smith, all of London, are each charged with two counts of forcible confinement, two counts of assault, and one count of kidnapping.

Allan Baptiste, 47, of London, is charged with one count of manslaughter, two counts of forcible confinement, two counts of assault, and one count of kidnapping.

David George, 37, of London is charged with one count of manslaughter, one count of assault, and one count of forcible confinement.

William Tombs, 41, of London is charged with one count of manslaughter, two counts of assault, one count of assault with a weapon, two counts of forcible confinement, and one count of kidnapping.

Police continue to search for Tombs and are asking anyone who sees him to not approach him, but to call police.
