Knights Trounce Hamilton on the Road 7-2

Sam Miletic's two first period goals set the tone for the London Knights in their 7-2 win over the Bulldogs at Hamilton's FirstOntario Centre.

Miletic's goals were part of a three-goal first period that also saw Janne Kuokkanen score the first of his two goals of the afternoon.  Tyler Johnson turned away 19 of Hamilton's 21 shots as the man between London's pipes.

Miletic's first goal came just 32 seconds into the game, assisted by J.J. Piccinich.  His second goal would be on a penalty shot at 11:26.  Kuokkanen joined the Knights' scoring effort at 16:01 in the period, and London took a 3-0 lead into the locker room after 20 minutes of play.

Victor Mete continued the onslaught for the Knights in the second period, with his fifth goal of the season at 1:54.  Kuokkanen scored his second goal later in the stanza so the second intermission score was 5-0 London.

There was no letup in the third as Cole Tymkin picked up his first goal of the season to make it 6-0 Knights.  Hamilton would finally get on the board at 11:59 in the third with a Justin Lemcke score.  Brandon Saigeon of the Bulldogs cut into the London lead with a goal of his own about three and a half minutes later.   London's Cliff Pu would finish off the scoring with just under two minutes left in regulation.

The Knights return to Budweiser Gardens Thursday night to host the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds.
