The London Knights fell 3-2 in a shootout loss against the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds on Friday.
The Knights were first on the board thanks to a goal from Cliff Pu 7:10 into the first period, however, the Greyhounds were able to tie things at 1-1 before the second. Victor Mete scored at the end of the second frame to give the Knights a 2-1 lead, but they couldn't stay ahead due to a goal from Sault Ste. Marie early in the third that forced overtime.
After no scoring in OT, the Greyhounds won the game in a shootout.
Goaltender Emanuel Vella made 34 saves for London.
The Knights will travel to Barrie on Saturday to take on the Colts at 7:30pm.
