What's Open And Closed On Canada Day

Canada marks its 149th birthday on Friday and Canadians from coast to coast will celebrate with a day off.

Anyone thinking of using the day to run errands will have to plan ahead, as the statutory holiday comes with a number of closures.

Here is a list of what’s open and closed in London on Canada Day.

CLOSED:

Government offices (municipal, provincial, and federal) Canada Post (no mail delivery) Malls, including White Oaks Mall, Masonville Place, and Westmount Shopping Centre Banks LCBO/Beer Stores Grocery stores Costco Wholesale London Public Library branches No garbage and recycling collection Most drug stores (Shoppers Drug Mart locations at 510 Hamilton Rd., 1224 Commissioners Rd. W in Byron and in Sherwood Forest Mall at 1225 Wonderland Rd. N will be open from 10am-6pm. Rexall Pharma Plus locations at 1795 Ernest Ave.,1593 Adelaide St. N, 740 Hyde Park Rd., 1240 Commissioners Rd. W will be open from 10am-6pm)

OPEN:

Fanshawe Pioneer Village (Dominion Day celebrations starting at 10:30am) Fanshawe Conservation Area (for campsite availability call 1-866-668-2267) Eldon House (Canada Day Celebration 12pm-5pm, Canada Day Dinner Fundraiser 6pm) Labatt Retail Store on Richmond St. – 11am-6pm City spray pads – 9am-9pm Movie theatres The LTC will be running on a Sunday schedule (Fanshawe Getaway service begins)
