For the second time in two months London police are issuing a warning about replica guns.
Police say they have recently investigated a number of incidents in forested areas where pellet guns or air-soft pistols have been fired. According to police, children and babies have picked up pellets from these firearms.
Firing a replica gun is against the law as stated by City By-Law PW-7. It reads "no person shall discharge a firearm within the City of London."
Police say all guns, whether real or replicas, can pose a significant threat to the community and officers will treat all weapons as real until determined otherwise.
A similar warning about replica guns was issued in March after a teen was spotted carrying a pellet gun on Commissioners Rd.
