Crediton Man Charged After Stabbing In Exeter

One person is facing charges after a man was stabbed during a house party in Exeter.

Just before midnight Friday night, Huron County OPP and Huron County EMS were called to a home located on Carling St. after one of the occupants called 911 to report the stabbing.

Within minutes police and EMS arrived on scene to find the victim, a 19-year-old man from Exeter, had been stabbed in the leg with a butterfly knife by another guest during the party. The victim was transported by ambulance to a local hospital with serious injuries. He was then later transferred to a hospital in London where he is now recovering with non-life threatening injuries.

Initially the accused left the scene, however he later returned and was taken into custody without incident.

Robert Albiston, 24, of Crediton has been charged with aggravated assault and unauthorized possession of a weapon. He remains in custody with a court appearance scheduled for February 16, 2016 at the Ontario Court of Justice in Goderich.
