Two-Day Dairy Congress Comes To London

Dairy farmers from across the region will flood the city this Thursday and Friday for the first London Dairy Congress.

The new agri-show, being held at the Western Fair District Metroland Media Agriplex, will feature more than 150 exhibits showcasing new industry trends, technology, robotics, and interactive educational seminars.

The congress will also have 30-40 minute virtual farm tours where farmers can learn what other producers are doing to make their operations run more efficiently.

For those considering a life on the farm there is a junior dairy component and a congress "university" to give attendees hands-on education with industry experts including a hoof care specialist, an artificial insemination technician and veterinarians focusing on calf welfare.

“We are excited to continue to support the on-going development of the agricultural industry with the first annual Dairy Congress," says Cheron Chamberlain, Agriculture Manager at the Western Fair District. "We are encouraged and excited by the overwhelming interest and support from the industry in the show, the clinics and the exhibitors.”

The Dairy Congress runs daily 9am to 4pm. For more information visit www.westernfairdistrict.com.
