Lightning Head Coach Fired

The London Lightning has fired Head Coach Carlos Knox.

In a two-sentence news release on Wednesday, the NBL Canada franchise states Knox has been dismissed due to "conduct detrimental to the team." The circumstances surrounding his dismissal are unknown at this time.

Knox was announced as Michael Ray Richardson's replacement as head coach of the basketball franchise on July 17, 2014.  Prior to taking the position, Knox was an assistant coach with the WNBA’s Indiana Fever in charge of player development. He is also a former three-time All-American, two-time NCAA scoring champion and NCAA Division II player of the year at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis.

The Lightning says it will announce a new head coach at the beginning of August and wishes Mr. Knox the best in his future endeavours.
