Daytime Bank Robbery In Otterville

Police are investigating after an afternoon bank robbery on Main St. E in Otterville.

Oxford County Ontario Provincial Police say on Friday around 1:30pm, officers responded to the incident at the Royal Bank of Canada where a man reportedly entered the bank and demanded money. The man then fled from the building with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Police say no weapon was seen during the robbery and no one was injured.

The suspect is described as a white, heavy set male, 5’6″- 6′ tall, between the ages of 55–65 years old, with a white beard. He was last seen wearing a dark vinyl jacket, a white v-neck t-shirt, blue jeans, and clear gloves.

Police ask anyone who encounters someone matching this description to call 911.
