A 27 year old man is in hospital with serious injuries following a motorcycle crash in Oxford.

The single-vehicle collision happened Saturday afternoon on Sweaburg Road just east of the village of Sweaburg.

OPP say the bike was heading west when it veered off the road, throwing the driver and landing in the south ditch.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.

The name of the motorcyclist has not been released.

A section of Sweaburg Road was closed for nearly 4 hours.

It re-opened around 6PM.
