The owner of a popular Grand Bend night club, which is the focus of a reality TV show, is now facing charges.
Lambton OPP was called to Coco's in Grand Bend around 9:45pm on July 21. Police say a verbal argument escalated to a point where one of the men involved was hit with a blunt object.
The injured man was given medical attention at the scene then taken to hospital to be treated for what police call a "significant" injury.
Police have yet to release the name of the victim, but TMZ is reporting that London native and "Bachelorette" star Shawn Evans was the individual assaulted. TMZ also reports that the blunt object used in the assault was a brick.
Mickey Rapaport, 65, of London is now charged with assault with a weapon. His son, 28-year-old Justin Rapaport, is charged with obstructing a peace officer. Both will appear in court in Sarnia on August 31.
The Rapaports appear on the MTV Canada reality show, "Grand Benders."
