Lots Of Sunshine In London On Provincial List

The province is releasing the 2014 Sunshine List, which details public servants who bank more than $100,000 in a year.

The 2014 Public Sector Salary Disclosure list details those whose salaries are paid by tax dollars.

A total of 358 employees at the London Health Sciences Centre are on the list. President and CEO Murray Glendining was the top earner at LHSC, banking over $511,000 last year.

Western University has over 1,200 professors, administrators and deans on the list. President Amit Chakma is the highest paid, raking in $924,000. There are 234 Fanshawe College employees on the list, 78 from King's University College.

The London Catholic District School Board has 101 employees on the list, compared to 92 employees last year. At the Thames Valley District School Board, 324 employees earned more than $100,000 in 2014.

Meanwhile, at the municipal level, 146 city employees banked over $100,000, excluding those at the London Police Service and London Fire Department.

City Manager Art Zuidema is the highest paid at London's City Hall, with a salary of over $230,000.

Police had previously released their list for the last year, which saw a jump of 2o employees between 2013 and 2014. A total of 212 employees of the London Police Service are on the 2014 list. London's top paid cop is Chief Brad Duncan, who took home over $224,000 last year.

The London Professional Firefighters Association added another 30 employees to the list, bringing the total to 269 firefighters. That jump is blamed on a hiring freeze and an increase in overtime pay.
