The Easiest $20 You'll Ever Make

If you bought electronics between 1999 and 2002, you have $20 coming to you.

Canadians who bought computers, MP3 players, or video game consoles are being invited to go online to get their share of the settlement from a class action lawsuit.

The $80-million settlement comes from manufacturers of DRAM (dynamic random access memory), who were accused of price-fixing and overcharging for their product.

Lawyer Jonathan Forman of the law firm Harrison Pensa in London was one of the lawyers who handled the case.

He says just about every adult in Canada is entitled to compensation.

"You don't need a receipt," says Forman. "You need to certify that you made a purchase of a product in the relative timeframe and that you are 18 years of age."

Forman says getting your slice of the settlement is as easy as clicking a mouse.

A website, www.themoneyismine.ca, has been set up. People can go there, and with a few clicks, apply for their $20.
