Thefts From Vehicles Spike

London Police are once again asking you to lock your vehicles following a spike in thefts.

Officers say there have been 12 reported thefts in the Sumemrside area and west of Highbury Ave. in the last two weeks.

The thefts generally happen between midnight and 5am. Thieves are targeting open vehciles or smashing windows and stealing laptops, GPS units, iPods and wallets.

Police had previously reported 20 thefts in the neighbourhood bound by Commissioners Rd., Bradley Ave. and Meadowgate Blvd. Since releasing details to the media the activity had stopped.

Since these types of thefts are happening across the city, police are asking you to report any suspicious activity in your neighbourhood.
