Organizers of the Hyde Park Santa Claus Parade are expecting a crowd of 10,000.
The 6th annual parade starts at 10am on Saturday at the Sherwood Forest Mall. It will head west down Gainsborough Rd. and ends just past Hyde Park Rd.
"We have a boot drive for people in our area and a food drive… that food is distributed in our area and Hyde Park for the needy people," says Organizer Lisa Topp. "It has grown quite a bit, when it first started with the Hyde Park Lions they had about 3,000 people and last year we estimated we had over 9,000 people.
