Toyota Motor Manufacturing in Woodstock is facing a $65,000 fine after a worker's arm was caught in a moving production line.
The Ministry of Labour says the man suffered arm fractures in the October 1, 2013 incident.
Officials say the worker had reached under the line to press the re-set button after noticing the production line was running in slow mode, rather than the normal production mode. His arm then became trapped between the moving line and the permanent power platform.
His arm was fractured in several places and he needed surgery. By law, the employer must make sure machinery is stopped when it is being adjusted or repaired.
The company pleaded guilty to failing to do so.
