MADD: Plan A Ride Home

MADD Canada say it’s hoping party-goers aren’t counting on the luck of the Irish to get home tonight.

The London Chapter of the organization is asking Londoners to plan how they’ll get home from the bar or a party before even leaving the house.

Spokesperson Christine Taleski says while they are concerned about drunk driving 365 days a year, they are focusing on St. Patrick’s Day.

Taleski says when someone wants to drive home drunk, friends have a responsibility to step in and possibly save a life.

MADD says every day, on average, four people are killed and 175 people are injured in impaired driving crashes. It says all of those crashes are preventable.
