Charges have now been laid in connection to the shooting death of a 17-year-old girl in Milverton last night. 

23-year-old Michael Schweitzer of Milverton was arrested and charged  with first degree murder and attempted murder.

The teen has been identified as Nicole Wagler of Milverton.

A second victim, 22-year-old Tyler Baker also of Milverton, was injured during the incident and is fighting for his life in a London hospital.

Perth OPP arrived at a home in the town around 10:00 p.m. and found the teen girl shot to death and Baker with life-threatening injuries.

They arrested Schweitzer at the scene.

The 23-year-old appeared in a Stratford court this morning. He was remanded into custody until his next court date on Decemeber 7th.

Police are still on the scene and will continue investigating.
