Public intoxication causes disturbance

A 58-year-old Chatham man has been charged with public intoxication after police were called to a Chatham business where he was causing a disturbance Friday evening. The man was arrested for his safety and held in custody until sober.

Man arrested after missing court date

A Howard Township man first arrested in June of this year missed his late-July court date. A warrant was issued for his arrest at that time. Early Saturday morning, Chatham police located the man at an address on Kent Bridge Road and took him into custody. He has since been released with a future court date.

Woman arrested for breaching communication conditions

Chatham police responded to Stanley Avenue Friday to investigate reports of suspicious people. They determined a woman present was on conditions to not communicate with another man who was present. The 26-year-old was arrested and is being held in custody until a bail hearing.

Overnight robbery of tools, vehicle

Overnight Thursday, a Drake Road home and outbuildings were broken into. A red tool chest with hand tools, an air compressor and a 2002 unplated Dodge Caravan were stolen.
