A Chatham woman has been charged following a crash.

Police say the 32-year-old was driving down Base Line on Wednesday and the vehicle left the road and struck a sign, before crashing into a hydro pole.

The driver suffered minor injuries and following anĀ investigation, she was charged with using of a handheld device while driving.

There was approximately $10,000 in damage to the vehicle and other property.

Chatham-Kent police have charged a woman with uttering death threats.

Officers responded to a family dispute in Chatham on Wednesday where an 18-year-old woman, a 21-year-old woman and others were involved in an altercation.

The 21-year-old women engaged in a phone conversation approximately one hour earlier in which, investigators say, she allegedly uttered threats to a family member.

A Chatham woman has turned herself in to police on several outstanding warrants.

The 20-year-old told officers she had run out of friends and food and decided to deal with her legal issues.
