Police Briefs – Friday March 10, 2017

Officers are investigating a break and enter north of Tilbury.

Chatham-Kent police say sometime overnight between Wednesday and Thursday, someone entered a barn on Tecumseh Line in Jeannette’s Creek and stole several power tools worth $750.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Chatham-Kent police or Crime Stoppers.

A 30-year-old Chatham man has been charged with theft.

Police say a man entered Walmart at 881 St. Clair Street in Chatham last month and allegedly took two pairs of headphones, razor blades and meat.

The man left the store through an alarmed door used for emergencies only and was arrested Friday morning at 3am.

Estimated value of the stolen items is $623.

Police have charged a man with failing to comply.

The man was released from custody in April and one of his conditions was not to be within 50 metres of a certain address in Chatham.

However, Thursday night around 7:30pm, the 26-year-old Charing Cross man allegedly went to the exact address where he is not to attend and was arrested.
