Chatham-Kent police say a 38-year-old man who was wanted on an outstanding warrant decided to turn himself in Sunday.

Police say the man was wanted for allegedly breaching his bail conditions.

He was arrested at Chatham-Kent police headquarters and held in custody pending a bail hearing.


A 25-year-old Chatham man is in trouble with the law after police allege that he failed to comply with his probation order.

Officers found him near Queen St. and Park Ave. at about 1:30am on Monday.

He was later charged and released with a future court date.


A 39-year-old Chatham man is getting some medical attention at the hospital in Wallaceburg after police say he exhibited “psychotic behaviour.”

Police got a call from the Chatham-Kent fire department while firefighters were responding to a fire alarm on Dufferin Ave. in Wallaceburg, at around 7:30pm Sunday night.

Officers say they determined a man at the scene posed a risk to himself and to others, so he was arrested under the mental health act and taken to hospital for observations.
