A domestic disturbance has led to numerous charges, including assault, for a Tilbury man.

Chatham-Kent police say an argument between a woman and her common-law husband escalated and the man allegedly assaulted the woman and her teenage daughter.

The 45-year-old was found in the home hiding under a bed.

A man and woman have been charged with theft following a shoplifting incident in Chatham.

Police say the duo left a store on Sunday with a pair of shoes, but gave them back when confronted by an employee outside the store.

The 45-year-old man and 34-year-old woman took off before police arrived, but were located and arrested early this morning.
