Police Briefs – Sunday, May 24, 2015

Chatham-Kent Police are investigating after a number of items were stolen from a home in Wallaceburg.

Police say sometime around 3am Sunday morning a suspect entered the unlocked door of a Kendall St residence.

There they took a wallet, purse and two HP laptops.

The value of the stolen goods is estimated around $1900.

Police are also investigating a separate break-in Saturday morning in Chatham.

Officials say two bikes were stolen from a Parkview Crt residence sometime between 3am to 7am.

Heading back to Wallaceburg, Police are investigating a vehicle fire they believe was intentionally set.

Police say around 5am Sunday morning someone set fire to the tires of a vehicle in the parking lot of a Murray St auto shop.

Damages are estimated around $5000.
