Police Briefs – Thursday, May 21, 2015

Chatham-Kent OPP officers helped the warden at Rondeau Provincial Park track down a teen with fireworks over the weekend.

After a foot chase between the suspect and warden, officers were called in and eventually located the 17-year-old.

He’s charged with unlawfully having liquor in a listed park, person under 19 years possessing liquor, possession of fireworks in a provincial park, possession of marijuana and escape lawful custody.

A 29-year-old woman from Wallaceburg was arrested on Thursday afternoon for breaching her probation.

A 32-year-old Chatham man was arrested just after 6:30pm last night on an outstanding warrant.

A police officer caught a vehicle travelling 163 km/hr in an 80km/hr zone on Talbot Trail around 1am this morning.

The driver was charged with stunt driving and speeding, and his vehicle was towed.

After receiving serveral noise complaints, a man in Chatham was arrested just after 1:30am this morning for breach of the peace.
