Police Briefs – Wednesday, May 20, 2015

A Chatham man has been charged with uttering threats and resisting arrest.

Police were called yesterday afternoon after a man dropped off legal documents to a home on McNaughton Ave. and the owner blocked him in the driveway and demand he be paid $250.

The 55-year-old then threatened a police officer, and as he was being taken into custody, he struggled with the officer.

Forty-five vehicles were inspected in Wallaceburg as a part of a commercial vehicle safety blitz, resulting in 47 tickets, 25 trucks taken out of service and nine licence plates seized.
