Maroons Acquire Goalie Lewis

The Chatham Maroons have found reinforcement in goal.

The team announced Friday night that they had acquired goaltender Tristan Lewis from the St. Marys Lincolns.

Lewis is expected to share net duties with Lucas Patton this coming season, following the departure of Ryan Wagner.

“We have been interested in Tristan since last year‘s trade deadline and coming into this season he was our number one target as our veteran goaltender," says Maroons general manager Kevin Fisher in a statement.

Lewis, 20, is originally from Port Elgin, standing at 6' and weighing 174 pounds. He played two seasons of junior-C hockey with the Walkerton Hawks before joining the junior-B Lincolns during the 2015-16 season. During his time with St. Marys, he played 80 games, compiling an overall record of 24-51-1 with two shutouts.

He was named GOJHL Western Conference Goaltender of the Month in January 2017.
