The Dresden Kings edged the Wheatley Sharks 3-2 in Game 1 of their PJHL quarter-final series on Monday.
Brantley Kuipers, Darien Davis and Derek Shaw all scored once for Dresden.
Justin Pinsonneault and Cole Butler scored the two goals for Wheatley.
The two teams face off for Game 2 on Wednesday in Wheatley. The puck drops at 7:30pm.
