New Coaching Staff For Blades

The Blenheim Blades didn't have to look very far to find a new head coach.

Just two days after announcing they were parting ways with head coach Bill Cumming and defence coach Shawn Tiffin, the team says it has hired Cumming's associate coach Ken Gagner to replace him.

The team says Evan Merritt will stay on as an assistant coach and Steve Escott will continue on as the goalie coach.

Other moves for the team include adding assistant GM Kent Hamilton, Ken Gagner's brother Steve, Jeff Fancy, and Scott Teron all as assistant coaches.

A release from the Blades says "all the new staff has extensive 'AAA' coaching experience."

The Blades' next game is Sunday as they host the Amherstburg Admirals at 7pm.
