Fantuz Added To Tiger-Cats' Practice Team

Chatham's Andy Fantuz appears to be covering some ground on the road to recovery from a serious knee injury last fall.

He suffered a torn ACL on October 28, 2016 and was serving as the Coordinator of Player Development for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats while he was sidelined during his recovery.

However, The Tiger-Cats announced earlier this week that they have signed Fantuz to their practice roster.

That paves the way for a possible return to the team this season, but reports from the team indicate Fantuz is probably still at least two to three weeks away from playing in a game.

That timeline would mean a potential return to game action on Saturday, September 30 against Toronto or Friday, October 6 against Winnipeg.

The Tiger-Cats (2-9) are at the bottom of the standings in the East Division with seven games left on the schedule.
