Maroons Announce New Coaching Staff

The Chatham Maroons have announced two new additions to their coaching staff for the 2017-2018 GOJHL season.

In a news release issued Thursday night, the hockey club says Brett Hope is joining the Maroons as an assistant coach.

Hope, who is a Blenheim native, played for the Maroons from 2007-2010 and for the St. Thomas Stars from 2010-2012.  In 242 regular season games, Hope scored 52 goals and had 80 assists.  He has also played in the NCAA at Buffalo State, the Southern Professional Hockey League and the Federal Hockey League.

Also announced Thursday night, was the return of Goaltending Coach Bino Pereira.  Pereira served as goaltending coach for the Maroons during the 2015-2016 season.

The two new coaches will join Maroons Head Coach Ron Horvat and Assistant Coach Ryan Hope.
