----------------- Cobras Win OMHA Championship The Kent Teksavvy Cobras Bantam AE team is bringing home an OMHA championship banner.

The team beat the Brampton 45s in overtime in a decisive game 6 on Sunday.

Dakota Vangothem scored the championship-winning goal for the Cobras.

It was a back-and-forth series between the two teams with the Cobras winning Game 1 before tying Game 2 and then losing two in a row.

The Cobras battled back, though, fighting off the 45s with two straight wins.

Cyclones Fall To Chiefs The Minor PeeWee AAA Chatham-Kent Cyclones capped off a hard-fought series against the Elgin Middlesex Chiefs with a 6-1 loss in Blenheim.

The Cyclones lost four out of their six games against the Chiefs, but only the final game was decided by more than two goals.

Chatham Thunder With A Perfect Finish The u12 Victory Ford Chatham Thunder never had to experience the bitter taste of defeat this season.

The local girls ringette team capped an undefeated season by finishing without a single loss at the regional championships in London.

The final game was right down to the wire, but Chatham managed to come away with a 4-3 win to secure the title.

Goalie Natalie Haggerty had a stellar tournament, allowing just eight goals through four games.

The Thunder finished a perfect 35-0-0 (including tournament wins in London, Waterloo, Niagara Falls and the Region finals).
