The LaSalle Vipers scored a 5-2 victory over the Strathroy Rockets on Wednesday in Game 1 of the first round of GOJHL playoffs.
Brett Primeau led the Vipers with a hat trick, while Manny Silverio and Eric Kirby both scored once.
The two teams face off in Game 2 on Saturday. The puck drops at 7:30pm in Strathroy.

Also, the London Nationals doubled the St. Marys Lincolns 6-3 in Game 1 of their best-of-seven series.
Michael Andlauer and Ethan Nother both scored twice for London, while Max Vinogradov and Carson Brookshaw each scored once.
Game 2 between the Nationals and the Lincolns is on Friday at 7:30pm in St. Marys.
