Sting Visit Chatham For Practice

The Sarnia Sting are back at the Chatham Memorial Arena Tuesday, looking to give back to the many fans that support them.

"If they can travel [to Sarnia] a few times a year to watch us play, there's no reason why we can't bring the team down to meet the community," says Sting Marketing Manager Dach Hiller.

The Sarnia Sting Community Tour showcases the team in smaller arenas throughout Lambton County, but has made previous stops in Chatham in its four-year history. Hiller adds fans will get to see how an OHL-calibre team trains.

"The players will work, it'll be just like any other practice," says Hilller. "Then they do some fun scrimmage games that are fun to watch. The highlight every time is the postgame skate with the fans afterwards.

The open practice gets going at 5:30pm Tuesday, and runs until 7:30pm. It will include a skate with the players that's open to the public.
