Maroons Look To End Slide Vs. Rockets

The Chatham Maroons look to return to their winning ways when they host the Strathroy Rockets for a rare Wednesday night match up.

After five straight wins the Maroons have dropped back-to-back games to Leamington and fell Sunday night to LaSalle.

Maroons forward Steven Beenackers on what it will take to get back in the win column.

"We just play with the mentality that we're not going to lose, we're not losing at home," says Beenackers. "We've only got four games left here in front of our crowd before playoffs and every point is huge, the standings are so tight and you want to get home ice advantage as much as you can."

Chatham has 50-points and sits in third in the Western Conference with just nine games left in the regular season. Meantime, Strathroy has a firm hold on seventh place in the conference with 33-points with seven games remaining.

The game can be heard live on AM630 CFCO or at BlackburnNews.com.

Puck drop is set for 7pm at Memorial Arena.

Also in Junior B hockey, the LaSalle Vipers are taking on the Lambton Shores tonight at the Vollmer Recreation Complex starting at 7pm.
