Alleged Stalker Charged In Dresden

Chatham-Kent police say an 80-year-old Dresden man is charged with two counts of criminal harassment after he allegedly stalked two residents earlier this summer.

Police say between June 5 and July 24, the man allegedly parked his vehicle close to a business in Dresden while he was watching a specific female employee there.

He's also accused of following the woman slowly in his vehicle while she walked home.

Police say in a separate report, another Dresden man told officers that the man had been following him around town last week.

The man accused of stalking both of those residents was arrested on Tuesday and is being held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Theft Charge After Shoplifting Complaint

A 29-year-old Chatham man is charged with theft and possession of property obtained by crime after police received a shoplifting complaint over the weekend in Blenheim.

Officers say the man was arrested Tuesday and later released with conditions and a future court date.

----------------- Police Looking For Stolen ATV

Chatham-Kent police are looking for a red 400cc Kawasaki Prairie ATV that was stolen from a property on Talbot Trail.

Officers say it was taken sometime either Monday night or early Tuesday morning.

It was last seen with a white sprayer tank on the back and the Ontario licence plate 52AT2.
