Police Briefs-Saturday, July 14, 2018

Police are investigating a few break and enters that happened in Chatham on Friday.

According to police, a shed was broken into on Elm St. The suspect broke the locks of the shed and stole a Stihl Leaf Blower.

A bike was left at the scene behind the shed, which was seized and taken to Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters.

On the same day, police responded to a break and enter at a Richmond St. business.

Just after 5am, suspect(s) threw a rock through the front window and stole two pairs of shoes valued at $500.

Police also went to an address on Greenfield Lane on Friday in regards to a stolen boat motor taken between Saturday, July 7 and Tuesday.

Police say it was a 4 stroke 5hp Nissan Marine motor.

A Chatham man has been arrested for not following his conditions.

Police say in June, the man was released with conditions he was required to follow.

Later that month, police say he breached two of the conditions of his release.

On Friday, the man went to the court house and was arrested on a warrant for failing to comply with undertaking and driving under suspension.

The man was put into custody at the court house and was held pending a bail hearing.
