New Doctor Practicing At CKHA

The Chatham-Kent Health Alliance (CKHA) has announced the hiring of a new radiologist with quite the impressive resume.

Dr. Terence Menezes, Diagnostic Radiologist, will start working in the CKHA's Radiology Department this month.

The new face was welcomed with open arms by Chief of Staff Dr. Pervez Faruqi.

"Dr. Menezes is joining a Radiology Department that is committed to providing CKHA's patients with quality care using state of the art imaging technology," said Dr. Faruqi. "As a new physician, Dr. Menezes' passion for the profession and talents will be well placed within the department."

According to a press release issued by the CKHA, Dr. Menezes is licensed with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and the American Board of Radiology. He also holds a membership with the Ontario and Canadian Association of Radiologists, the American Medical Association, American College of Radiology, Radiological Society of North America, the American Board of Radiology. The release said in addition to his professional duties, Dr. Menezes is currently researching the role of Dynamic Contract Enhanced imaging in prostate MRIs with pathology correlation.

Dr. Menezes said he can't wait to start working with the CKHA staff and looks forward to calling Chatham-Kent home.

Dr. Menezes received his Bachelor of Medical Sciences in 2007 from Western University. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from one of the world's leading international medical schools, Saba University School of Medicine. Dr. Menezes completed one year of Medical Residency at The Jewish Hospital - Mercy Health, in Cincinnati, Ohio, before completing his training as a Radiology Resident at the Albany Medical Centre in New York over the next four years.

He recently completed a yearlong Cross-Sectional Fellowship at McMaster University in Hamilton.
