Don't Park On The Beach

A couple of beachgoers in Erieau are learning the hard way that the sand is reserved for umbrellas, blankets, and chairs.

Chatham-Kent police say officers handed out tickets to two vehicle owners Thursday evening who were parked on the beach close to the water.

Officers say with the summer months now in full swing, it's a good reminder for other drivers, too, that it's illegal to park a vehicle on the beach -- you should use designated parking spots instead.
