Chatham-Kent police say a man has been arrested for impaired driving after crashing into a trailer.

Police say on Saturday in Mitchell’s Bay, a Sombra man was driving a vehicle when he struck a trailer, which then struck a vehicle. Police say the driver failed to stay at the scene, but he then returned and was arrested for impaired driving.

The man was taken to Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters for breathalyzer testing, which resulted in him being charged with impaired driving.

The vehicle was impounded for seven days and the man’s licence was suspended for 90 days. The man was released with a future court date.

A Wallaceburg man has been arrested after allegedly crashing a stolen dirt bike.

Police responded to a collision involving a dirt bike on Saturday on McNaughton Ave. in Wallaceburg.

The driver had minor injuries and the dirt bike was found to be stolen.

The man was arrested for being in possession of stolen property. Through further investigation, police discovered the man also had a warrant out for his arrest from Lambton OPP.

The man was taken to Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters where he was held for a bail hearing.

A Rodney man is in trouble with the law after police found him drunk inside his car.

Police say they received a report of an impaired driver on Saturday. The driver was found inside the vehicle and police believed he was intoxicated.

The man was taken to Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters for breathalyzer tests, which resulted in the man being charged with impaired driving.
